Kevin Duke  was born into a family that has a great appreciation for music. He is the last of five (5) children. He has always had a deep passion for music with special interest for the voice. His love for God and music, as well as the moral support from his family has been the driving force behind him, pushing him to record his gospel album.

As a child, there were times when his mother and him would sing and record onto a cassette.  Hearing her sing alto made him eager to learn to sing another part beside the basic melody of a song, which he is now able to do.

He has also had the opportunity to sing and record at one of his neighbour’s whilst being accompanied with the guitar.

Whenever he hears a vocal run, he practices until he gets it. He quotes, “Giving up is not a part of me.”  

Kevin's greatest influences are Kim Burrell and Smokie Norful. He likes their musicianship and their creative way of vocalizing.

He was a finalist at the Local Full Gospel Song Festival in the year 2004.He was also honoured at the Seventh-day-Adventist’s Women’s Ministry convention for taking the time out to sing at their graduation ceremony.

Kevin is also a lyricist. Writing songs is another way of expressing him. He writes songs based his personal experiences as well as observations of the things that surround him.

Full Assurance - a gospel vocal group known for its tight harmony throughout Trinidad & Tobago.
The Tunapuna Youth Chorale of Trinidad.
Stars of the Morning Youth Chorale of  Mary's Hill, Tobago.
The Good News Chorale of Scarborough Tobago.

Kevin was also the creator of The Trio: Oasis

He is currently working with some of the youths at his Church to form a new Gospel Chorale.
